In conjunction with the Porsche World Road Show (PWRS) hosted by local distributors Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) in Sepang International Circuit, WapCar.my caught a glimpse of the locally-assembled (CKD) E3 Porsche Cayenne in the flesh.
To recap, the built-in-Kulim Porsche Cayenne is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine (340 PS, 450 Nm), hooked to a 8-speed automatic transmission, driving all four wheels.
LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
LED taillights
21-inch RS Spyder design wheels
BOSE Surround Sound System
Two choices of leather upholstery colourways
Four-zone climate control
Porsche Communication Management system
Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay
Porsche Advanced Cockpit
While the CKD Cayenne's drivetrain comes in a single flavour, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Package enables customers to further customise their cars with options such as the SportDesign Package, which consist of a unique front apron and more pronounced wheelarch extensions, and darker-tinted headlights and taillights.
Performance is also enhanced with a sports exhaust system featuring unique sport tailpipes. What's more, the soundtrack of the exhaust can be altered to suit different driving moods. Customers can also upgrade to the optional 22-inch rims.
A carbon interior package is also available, adorning areas of the dashboard and door panel with carbon fibre to create a premium yet sporty ambience. Speaking of ambience, this red interior is just proper classy and sporty altogether, isn't it?
Pricing wise, the locally-assembled Porsche Cayenne now starts from RM 550,000 (SST exemption applied, valid until 30 June 2022), which is RM 115k less than the CBU version that retailed for RM 665,000.
Want one? Better act quick as the first allocations of the CKD E3 Porsche Cayenne has been sold out. We're pretty sure that a queue is already forming for the second batch of allocations.
