Nissan's competitor to the Toyota Vios and Honda City – with its unfussy lines and sharp angles – looks like a C-segment sedan, and for some buyers that's all the winning-over they need.

But unlike us Malaysians, Thai customers can further break away from the mould with the limited-run Night Blue colour.
Introduced to commemorate Nissan Thailand's 70th-year anniversary, only 70 units of the Almera will be sold in this colour. Talk about exclusivity.
The colour comes at no additional cost on top of the Almera VL's price (THB 639k, or ~RM 80k), which is not too far off the Malaysian price range of RM 80k to RM 91k.
Everything else remains the same, including its 100 PS/152 Nm, 1.0-litre turbocharged three-pot engine and CVT automatic powertrain combination.

This isn't the only special Almera in recent times. Back in June, there was the unveiling of the Almera Sportech, coming with Autech-designed exterior and interior enhancements.

Closer to home, local Nissan distributors Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM) have made no mention about any special Almeras, aside from the results of their latest Fuel Efficiency Charity Drive campaign.

Besides the Almera, Nissan's large stand at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2021 in Bangkok also featured a kitted-up Nissan Navara, the Nissan Kicks e-Power 'Sky Edition', and the star of the show, the Nissan GT-R T-Spec.
