- First fully-electric van on sale in Malaysia
- 38.7-kW battery gives a driving range of 268 km

This is the CAM EC35, the first fully-electric (EV) van to go on sale in Malaysia, priced at RM 130,000.
For the uninitiated, CAM is a Malaysian brand founded in 2009, which specialises in light commercial vehicles under R&A Marketing Sdn Bhd of Sendok Group. Their product line-up ranges from light truck, 10-18 seats van, minibus, caravan, heavy machinery to mining truck.
The CAM EC35 is essentially a rebadged version of the identically-named model from DFSK. It is the first product under CAM EV Line Up, and more pure electric vehicles are in the pipeline, particularly the commercial segment.

Dato Ir. Hj. Mohamad Dalib, Sendok Group Advisor, said, "The Sendok Group is equipped with CKD facility to assemble all kinds of vehicles including electric vehicles. Currently, the Group's automotive technical, development and research division is led by two automotive engineers."
The electric motor in the CAM EC35 makes 80 PS, 200 Nm. It comes with a 38.7-kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery and the WLTP range is rated at 268 km.

It uses the CCS Combo 2 charging port; AC charging is up to 6.6 kW – 20 to 80 percent takes 5 hours, while charging from 0 to 100 percent takes 8 hours. As for DC fast charging, maximum charging rate is at 40 kW, which takes 80 minutes to get from 20 to 80 percent, while 0 to 100 percent takes 2.5 hours.

Features include an 8-inch touchscreen head unit and reverse camera. Safety wise, there's ABS and EBD, with driver-side airbag.
"The Sendok Group also has a local service centre, namely sales, maintenance, spare parts and other services, which are categorized as "6S" - Sales, Service, Spare parts, Sending, Survey & Safety - to ensure vehicles are always safe when on the road," Dato Ir. Hj. Mohamad Dalib added.
