Largest in SEA, Carsome Certified Lab refurbishes 2,000 cars monthly

The recently-opened Carsome Certified Lab is the company's latest progress, with the Bukit Raja, Klang facility built to refurbish used cars before they head out into the market. We're here to take a closer peek at just what goes on behind the scenes.

With a built-up size of 185,000 square feet, it's the largest facility of its kind in South East Asia, able to refurbish up to 2,000 cars a month.

Staff are trained to refurbish most makes and models, including some hybrid and premium cars as well. Cars going through this process must be 9 years old and below, and would have passed Carsome's 175-point inspection to ensure that it is free from fire, flood and major accident damages.

Each car coming through the front gates will go through five main stages:

• Car inspection
• Mechanical and general repairs
• Body and paint
• Car detailing
• Quality control check

Once these are done, photos of the car will then be taken before it joins the thousands of cars on Carsome's website, before moving on to the mobile Puspakom truck sitting at the adjacent yard.
