Up front, the new Tiggo 8 Pro gets a new angular front grille with red trims all round. There’s also a new pair of LED headlights with chrome trim that extends inwards.
The side profile and rear have also been redesigned. The LED tail lights are now a one-piece design, while the design of the tailgate is also new. Chery has also thrown out the dual muffler design on the 8 Plus, replacing it with quad units on the new 8 Pro.
But that’s not all – another spyshot of the Tiggo 8 Pro revealed an inconspicuous AWD emblem, hinting that at least one variant of the Tiggo 8 Pro will get all-wheel drive.
What’s more, Chery has also given its Tiggo 8 Pro a completely new dashboard. The usual binnacle that houses the instrument cluster gets thrown out in favour of an ultrawide display, which houses both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system.
According to Chinese sources, the new Tiggo 8 Pro will get two turbocharged engines, the first being a 1.5-litre unit that does 197 PS and a larger 2.0-litre capable of delivering 254 PS. The latter will get the AWD feature.
The new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro will debut in China some time next month, so stay tuned for that.
