Bermaz has updated the 2022 Mazda MX-5 RF for Malaysia, with the roadster now coming with Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), equipped on both the automatic and manual variants.
This update also sees a price increase, with the fully-imported (CBU Japan) model now priced from RM 264,029 for the manual variant, and RM 265,964 for the automatic. These prices are inclusive of the 50% Sales Tax Reduction (SST) and is valid until 30-June 2022.

KPC is a neat trick that utilises the brakes to reduce the MX-5's body roll in corners. When cornerning under conditions with high G-force, KPC works by applying slight brake pressure to the inner rear wheel to suppress roll and stabilise its position - essentially GVC for rear-wheel drive cars.
Beyond this nifty tech, the MX-5's spec sheet for Malaysia remains unchanged, which includes Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a host of i-Activsense safety features such Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Smart City Brake Support (SCBS), Driver Attention Alert (DAA) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
Powertrain stays the same, with the 2.0-litre SkyactivG engine making 181 PS and 205 Nm. 6 colours are available, which are Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue and Jet Black.
The MX-5 is backed with a 5-year manufacturer warranty + 5-years free maintenance, inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants. This package has a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
