As reported last week, Perodua has now opened bookings for the D27A all-new 2022 Perodua Alza, its newest B-segment 7-seater.

Tentative prices for the new 7-seater people mover start from RM 62,000 for the 1.5 X variant. Stepping up to the 1.5 H variant, this one goes for RM 68,000. The range-topping 1.5 AV has a tentative price of RM 75,000.

Then there’s the new feature set.

The first new addition is the electric parking brake (EPB), something never before seen on a Perodua model. The EPB is exclusive to the range-topping Alza 1.5 AV variant; lower variants make do with a regular mechanical parking brake.

Then there’s the 360-degree view monitor, giving drivers a top-down view of the MPV, easing parking. Like the EPB, the 360-degree view monitor is exclusive to the 1.5 AV variant.

In addition to the new features, the all-new 2022 Perodua Alza will also debut several new colours. Elegant Black, Garnet Red, and Vintage Brown are new to the Alza’s colour palette. Of which, the latter two are exclusive to the H and AV variants. Carryover colours include Glittering Silver and Ivory White.

As for powertrain, the all-new 2022 Perodua Alza is expected to be powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine with 106 PS and 137 Nm. The sole transmission option is a D-CVT (Dual-mod CVT), sending drive to the front wheels. 

With this powertrain in place, Perodua said the D27A Alza can return 4.5-litre/100 km (22 km/l) under the Malaysian drive cycle (MDC).
