If you're looking for the wheeled equivalent of a brute in a suit then take a glance at this – the locally-assembled (CKD) 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLA 35.

It's the brand's latest launch here and you can see it at the WapCar Auto Show Exhibition that's happening over the weekend (1- to 3-July 2022).

And oh, it's not a model to miss. Pekan assembly places power at an attractive pricepoint: RM 363,888 (OTR with SST, sans insurance), and that buys you a creamy, 306 PS / 400  Nm powertrain combo that will launch you and your passengers to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

Paired to the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine is an 8-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch automatic, sending power to all four wheels via the AMG Performance 4Matic all-wheel drive system. Oh, and you can proudly declare what you have too - ours comes standard with AMG exhaust system.

Handling chops come courtesy of AMG Ride Control suspension and AMG Dynamic Select drive modes (Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual) further sharpens things up depending on situation.
