A Bernama report has revealed that road traffic in the city has dropped by 50 percent since the start of the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0. Traffic is notably smooth on 2 major highways despite Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations that will be happening this weekend.
According to a Plus Expressway Berhad spokesman, traffic on the Jalan Duta toll plaza and Sungai Besi toll plaza has been smooth even on the route heading south.

Meanwhile, a spokesman from the Malaysia Highway Authority noted that traffic on the East Coast Expressway (LPT) 1 and 2 as well as the Bentong toll plaza is also missing the usual daily congestion.
In the federal capital, Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zulkefly Yahya told Bernama the number of road users has notably dropped by 50 percent after roadblocks were mounted since the start of MCO in the city.

However, the same cannot be said about the Federal Highway. Zulkefly notes that traffic flow on the highway has increased as most road users use the route to cross districts for work.
