Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has completed the Tiguan trio with the last variant that slots in as the most affordable in the line-up, the new Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Life priced at RM 172,990.
As the entry-level variant of the model, the Life is packed with the right features to make it a modern SUV. Its virtues as a space giant remain unchanged, with a 7-seat configuration that offer up to 1,775-litre of class-leading boot space.

Visually, the Life shares the same sharp and dynamic look as its siblings. It carries the sleeker front grille with the signature Volkswagen illuminated light strip between the LED headlights. Other elements include the Allspace trims such as the silver-painted side mirrors, ‘Tiguan’ lettering on the rear and 18-inch Frankfurt alloy wheels.

The interior carries all the conveniences and comfort expected of the Tiguan. Cosy and functional, the standard equipment is led by the 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system with wireless app connectivity, navigation and voice-control. You’ll also find a triple-zone Climatronic air-conditioning system and a leather multifunction sports steering wheel.
Power comes from a familiar 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged engine that makes an identical 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque as its sibling, the Tiguan Allspace Elegance. Paired with a 6-speed DSG, it returns fuel consumption in the region of 7.7-litre/100 km.

Safety comprises 6 airbags, stability control, ABS, BA, multi-collision brakes, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS) and an electronic parking brake. ADAS is made up of Lane Assist and Driver Alert systems.

Apart from the aforementioned LED headlights, the Tiguan Allspace Life is also equipped with LED taillights. For added safety in any climate conditions, the headlamps include an all-weather light system and dynamic cornering light for improved visibility. The taillight cluster with its distinctive lighting signature changes the signature when the brakes are applied, ensuring it’s easier to notice.

The Tiguan Allspace Life is available in five colours and two finishes. Metallic colours are Atlantic Blue, Platinum Grey and Pyrite Silver whilst pearl-effect colours are Deep Black and Oryx White.
Pricing is RM 172,990 and comes with a 3-year free maintenance package as well as a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty and a 5-year roadside assistance membership.
