- Up to 213 PS of electric power

The T33-generation Nissan X-Trail has made its debut in Europe with e-Power electric powertrain and a mild-hybrid 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, available in either 5- or 7-seater configuration.
The e-Power system is a series-hybrid system, meaning the engine doesn't drive the wheels directly but used as a generator for the high-voltage battery that feeds the electric motor. Nissan says that this allows the X-Trail to behave like an EV.

There are two variants for the e-Power drivetrain – 2WD and AWD. The 2WD variant makes 204 PS/330 Nm while the AWD version (Nissan calls it e-4orce) makes a combined output of 213 PS. 0-100 km/h is completed in 8.0 seconds for the 2WD and 7.0 seconds for the AWD.
The T33 X-Trail will also be available with a more conventional powertrain, a mild-hybrid 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine that makes 163 PS/300 Nm, mated to a CVT.

Riding on the CMF-C platform, the T33 X-Trail features updated Macpherson strut set-up at the front and multi-link suspension at the rear. Nissan says its refinement, ride comfort and driving response is comparable to those of a higher segment.
Inside, there’s a 12.3-inch infotainment display and an identically sized one as the instrument cluster. There’s also a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) that projects navigation, driver assistance and road information onto the windscreen.
Speaking of driver assistance, the T33 X-Trail features Nissan’s ProPilot assist suite of ADAS that allows level 2 semi-autonomous driving capability.
In the UK, prices for the T33 Nissan X-Trail start from GBP 32,030 (around RM 165k). Pre-orders have begun and deliveries are set to begin in October.
