![Budget 2023: RM 3b fund for green tech including EVs, RM 330m to develop infrastructure 01]()
The government has announced, at the ongoing tabling of Budget 2023, an RM 3 billion fund for green technology. 60 percent of the budget will be allocated to electric vehicles (EV). Also mentioned was an allocation of RM 330 million to expand EV infrastructure.
Manufacturers of EVSE (EV chargers) will be entitled to income tax exemption (taxable income, assessment year 2023 to 2032) and investment tax allowance.
