Rêver Automotive, Thailand’s authorised distributor for BYD cars, has launched the BYD Atto 3, priced at THB 1,199,900 (around RM 146k).
Unlike in Australia, the Atto 3 is offered only in the Extended Range variant for Thailand, which has a capacity of 60.48 kWh that gives a WLTP-rated range of up to 420 km. The front-mounted electric motor provides 204 PS/310 Nm, enough to get the Atto 3 from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The Atto 3 rides on 18-inch wheels with 215/55 profile rubbers, while suspension setup is MacPherson struts at the front, multi-link at the rear.
As for charging, it has a Type 2 connector for AC charging (up to 6.6 kW) and the 80kW DC - CCS 2 connector. It also has Vehicle to Load (V2L) function which provides up to 2.2 kW.
Inside, there’s a 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android (available in Q4 2022), panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and wireless charger.
Safety wise, the BYD Atto 3 features Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function (ACC-S&G), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RCTB), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and 360-degree camera.
Comparing the prices in Australia, the Atto 3 starts from AUD 44,990 (around RM 131k, at time of writing) for the Standard Range while the Extended Range goes for AUD 47,990 (around RM 141k, at time of writing).
