Reasons why I bought this car

As a family car for 5 but its not there yet. On hindsight the Toyota Estima as my dearest constantly reminds would have been much much better.  But when did we ever listen especially on Matters that thrives on adrenaline. We are poor listeners and wilfully  follow our heart  when its about ‘das auto’.

Car Selection Process

I had a budget of: 50k max

Models that I’ve considered included :

I didn’t consider the camry because it would have been the case of “torn between 2 lovers and feeling like a fool”.

Then came along the e60. Unfortunately it was more than 10years so I deferred unwillingly. Man, but what a car. It’s a work of art. Amazing but beyond my reach.

The 8 gen accord (8ga)and the e60 burst onto the scene in 2008. They were Kind of kindred spirits: Rich Man, Poor Man.  I couldn’t afford either  due to mismanagement of life etc.  It was hard. Then I watched “Batman Returns”. Instantly I made a pledge not a donation to Aquaman. Oops! Sorry I meant to acquire if it returns in another guise. 2013 spanco perdanas were Introduced. It was “the return of the jedi”.

User experience

  • I have already done 15000km.
  • My average fuel consumption is a lot during town driving. Long distance not too bad

The seats are hard. Damn. They keep you awake and not necessarily harmful. You don’t sleep to death. Those seats should be made mandatory for lorries and express buses. The accidents rate will definitely go down. You can drive to Timbaktu and back: all in 1 pièce, no problem. Hey, the looks are good. So whats to complain. Now if only the e60 metamorphosis to a perdana instead!. Think of the possibilities. Now the power seats for the driver only. Till now I’ve not be able to achieve the ideal driving position. I’m like fiddling all the time but unsuccessful. The upside you stay alert. The downside; don’t ask. Incidentally she’s called TRex. When she takes flight you better hang on on your pants. She’s simply exhilarating. My gal. And that’s that. Pure fun.

Pros of my car:

A driver’s car. Good looks, spacious  responsive engine and fidgety power seats that keep you awake. My cat loves it.

Cons of my car:

The damn seats. The noisy passengers who want to drive as well.

Ratings:

Total Score: 3.5

Performance: 4

Quality & Features: 3

Space: 4

Ride Comfort: 3

Fuel Economy: 3.5

Price & Cost: 4

Summary :

it’s a handsome car. Good response from the engine. Unbeatable value. It’s only rm40k++ for a 6year old  dynamic honda experience. Sure it’s a rebadged proton but underneath though it’s a fully fledged thoroughbred F1 Honda. It’s not a e60  but it comes close. Pretty close. And that is as good as it gets. Satis est.

Last:

I bought this from a ex senior police officer.  So every now and then I get a wave from the cops. It lifts up my mood.

Spied: 2023 Nissan Almera facelift spotted in Thailand, clearest look of the front!

The current generation was introduced in the region in late-2019 so it is due for a refresh which is already seen in the North American market Nissan Versa. The facelifted Almera was spotted before in Thailand this year undergoing tests and covered in camouflage. It’s a sign that the facelift Almera could be launched in the country sometime this year and this latest set obtained from a Thai au

Yet another next-gen Proton X70 hint? This is the Geely Boyue Cool with a 1.5T 4-cyd

Geely recently unveiled the Boyue Cool, a new SUV that is set to be available for pre-order in China later this month. If it looks familiar, that's because the Boyue Cool is largely similar looking to the recently-launched Boyue L. Confused? Let us explain – the Geely Boyue Cool that you see here is positioned below the Boyue L that was launched late last year. When it goes on sale later this year, we expect prices to be slightly cheaper than the Boyue L too. In China, the Boyue L is priced from
