Reasons why I bought this car

Upgrade from my 2015 Proton Exora turbo. 4 kids are growing up, need more space.

Car Selection Process

Budget - full size mpv 200k - 250k

Model consider - Vellfire, Starex

Vellfire - too expensive for recond car, less than 5years old.

Starex - powerful but van like handling

KGC - most powerful n handle like conti car - solid. Got rebate for 14k

User experience

  • Already done 44,000 plus km since July 2020.

  • Average FC 12.5L/km (8L/100km)

Very spacious car, comfortable for 6 of us. All got individual seats in 3 rows. Last row seat we keep it flat for cargo.

Very powerful car, with 440Nm torque, we have enough power whenever we need it. Never feel underpower even with full loaded people n cargo.

Big fuel tank than can go up to 900km with full tank. Never to worry about looking for Euro5 station when travelling outstation or balik kampung.

Pros of my car:

  • very spacious

  • very powerful

  • ride n handling like sedan

  • solid drive like conti car

  • Economical for such powerful mpv

Cons of my car:

  • euro 5 b7 is not available at all petrol station, so outstation travelling still need to plan for refuelling, although now you have petronas Euro5 B10 available at all station. But with full tank can go up to 900km, this not really an issue, bcoz i always keep full tank.

  • For YP, at lower speed, you can still hear the diesel engine sound, before you get use to it.

  • parking at tight place, n entering parking at old buildings is a challenge for this long an wide vehicle

  • Prolong drive within legal speed limit can cause depression haha!

Ratings:

Total Score: 4

Performance: 5

Quality & Features: 4

Space: 5

Ride Comfort: 4.5

Fuel Economy: 5

Price & Cost: 4

Summary :

Best value for money for full size mpv. Very spacious for 6-8 mix adults & children with luggage. Very powerful and yet economical. Ride and handling is solid like conti sedan.

Interesting event to share

Balik raya 2022, with 9 hours travelling to Kulim, Kedah. Before with proton exora, children will feel stressful because of long d journey. With Carnival they still can sleep comfortably all the way, due to big space and individual seats.
