Perodua to launch 2 more new models after D74A 2023 Perodua Axia, what could they be?

Earlier today during Perodua’s media conference, the second Malaysian car maker reiterated that they are capable of launching one all-new model (FMC, full model change in Perodua’s terminology) and two facelift models in one year’s time.

"Still valid. Our current capability is one FMC and two MC (per year). Because of Covid-19 - 2019 and 2020, 2021 - it was disrupted. Last year was our recovery, this year we'll go back to pre-pandemic levels in terms of capacity," said Perodua President and CEO Dato' Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

Well, we already know that this year’s FMC would be the D74A 2023 Perodua Axia, which leaves us with two facelift models slated to be launched later this year.

​ What facelift models will Perodua debut later this year? Let’s dig in.

For starters, we can rule out recent Perodua models that were launched within the past 2 to 3 years, such as the D27A Perodua Alza, D51A Perodua Myvi, and D55L Perodua Ativa.

Which leaves us with the Perodua Bezza and Perodua Aruz.

Rewind the clock back to early-2020, as Perodua gave its A-segment sedan a comprehensive makeover. But that was 3 years ago and the Bezza is nearing the end of its model lifecycle. Could Perodua inject a little more life before the all-new Bezza arrives some time in the near future?

As for the Perodua Aruz, this 7-seater SUV has remained largely unchanged since it was launched back in 2019. The Aruz gained some updates in late-2021, with the model gaining a new Passion Red colour, as well as integrated side steps. The rest of the model remains unchanged from before.
