Ahead of the official launch of the all-new AC100 2023 Toyota Vios, local Toyota distributor UMW Toyota Motor has dropped even more teasers of its upcoming B-segment sedan.

This time around, the company has showcased the AC100 Vios’ fastback-like styling, with a sloping roofline that gives it a very upmarket design.

Despite its fastback-like styling, the AC100 Vios’ boot still opens like a regular sedan, much like the FE1 Honda Civic.

Bookings for the AC100 2023 Toyota Vios was opened a couple of weeks ago, with prices estimated to start from RM 90,000 for the 1.5 E variant and RM 96,000 for the top-spec 1.5 G variant.

New features on the AC100 Toyota Vios include a new 9-inch infotainment display with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, electric parking brake (EPB) with Auto Brake Hold, rear air-conditioning vents, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

On the powertrain front, the AC100 Toyota Vios is likely to be powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre 2NR-VE 4-cylinder petrol engine with 106 PS and 138 Nm, mated to a Dual-mode CVT (D-CVT) – similar to the Toyota Veloz.

With this bold styling, can the AC100 Toyota Vios sway you away from rivals like the Honda City or Nissan Almera?
