GWM Malaysia announced that Elliot Zhang, President of Great Wall Motor ASEAN Region presented an Ora Good Cat 500 Ultra to YBhg. Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, Secretary General, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), to conduct a series of test drives over the next few months to learn more about electric vehicles.
This demonstrates GWM’s commitment to promote sustainable transportation solutions, and assist the Malaysian Government in its efforts and plans for Malaysia to become a carbon neutral nation by 2054.
With Malaysia's support, GWM is poised to continue its efforts in developing advanced technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles, making a significant contribution towards a greener and more sustainable future.

The company has formulated a local strategy aimed at supporting Malaysia's transition from fuel-energy vehicles to energy-efficient vehicles, with bigger plans to launch more hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel-cell electric vehicles in the market.
GWM's collaboration with the Malaysian government is an example of how public-private collaborations can drive the growth and adoption of sustainable transportation solutions, and the company looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with MITI.
To recap the Ora Good Cat in Malaysia, there are two variants available - 400 Pro and 500 Ultra - priced at RM 139,800 and RM 169,800 respectively.
Both variants of the Good Cat are driven by a 143 PS/210 Nm electric motor that powers the front wheels. The 400 Pro gets a 48 kWh lithium ion phospate battery (LFP), good for 400 km NEDC range, while the 500 Ultra gives 500 km NEDC range courtesy of its 63 kWh ternary lithium battery. AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW while DC fast charging is up to 60 kW.
