We previously reported that the Hyundai Elantra is no longer on sale in Malaysia, now we have received confirmation that the Hyundai Tucson has also been discontinued in our country.
The Hyundai Tucson is Hyundai Sime Darby Motors’ (HSDM) representative in the C-segment SUV market. It was most recently updated in 2018 featuring a revised fascia, more upmarket interior, and techy upgrades like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
According to our sources, as of yet, HSDM has no plans to launch the all-new 2021 Hyundai Tucson in Malaysia yet. But another source has hinted that the SUV might make a return in end-2021.
The all-new 2021 Hyundai Tucson was launched worldwide only recently featuring a new evolutionary design language with its headlights integrated into its grille. At the moment, the SUV is only on sale in Korea, Hyundai plans to start launching the car in other regions starting from 2021.

With both the Tucson and the Elantra now out of the Malaysian market, HSDM seems to have declared their intent to focus on other car segments.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
