Following the launch of a supercar catered for the budding vigilante, Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur has launched a special edition of its latest SUV, the Aston Martin DBX Intrepid Aura.

While the standard DBX itself seems to be suited for a certain secret agent, we have a feeling this brightly-coloured DBX is more for an eccentric chocolate factory owner.

The DBX is a five-seater SUV which means that you can easily fit in the few winners of your golden ticket competition with ease. Just like the standard DBX, the DBX Intrepid Aura is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 550 PS and 700 Nm.

Going across muddy surfaces or mountains paved with syrup and powdered sprinkles isn’t a problem thanks to the all-wheel-drive system. Speed is also something that is capable in this friendly beast with a top speed of 291 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds.

Clearly the most striking thing you will notice on the DBX Intrepid Aura is the bright, fluorescent yellow paint job. Aston Martin calls this Yellow Tang and as tangy the name is, we wouldn’t recommend you to lick it to see how it tastes like.

However, if you find Yellow Tang to be too err… tangy for you, then you could have it in Ceramic Blue, Stratus White, or Lime Essence.

Inside, you’re greeted with a black leather interior finished with either Electron Yellow, Blue, Chancellor Red, or Lime Green stitching to add some contrasting pop of colours. Who says luxury SUVs have to only look in silver or black?

The standard DBX starts from RM 818,000 but the DBX Intrepid Aura starts from RM 958,000. Both prices don’t include duties and taxes. So, if you want an exciting-looking transport to your chocolate factory and back, the DBX Intrepid Aura is clearly the one for you, Mr. Wacky Candyman.
