It seems some buyers in Indonesia can’t wait to get their hands on the recently launched 2022 Honda BR-V so much so, 900 eager customers have already placed their bookings without even knowing official prices.
According to Otodriver, 50 percent of bookings are for the range-topping BR-V Prestige variant, which crucially features the Honda Sensing suite of ADAS features.
To recap, the all-new 2022 Honda BR-V was previewed to the Indonesian market towards the end of September, however, deliveries in Indonesia won’t commence until 2022. Prices will be announced towards the end of 2021.
First previewed as the N7X Concept, the 2022 Honda BR-V features a bold new design inspired by Honda’s new Solid Wing design principles. In addition to bolder and more elegant looking exterior, the BR-V features some familiar styling cues such as the rear LED taillights that are reminiscent of the Honda City.

On the inside, Honda has given the BR-V a stylish makeover. The all-new Honda BR-V’s dashboard is largely inspired by the Indian-market Honda Amaze, down to the pair of symmetrical air-cond vents and what looks like a larger touchscreen head unit. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported in the all-new BR-V.
Under the hood, the Honda BR-V is a new naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre DOHC petrol engine borrowed from the current-generation Honda City, producing 121 PS and 145 Nm. The engine can be had with a CVT-type automatic or a manual transmission in the Indonesian market.

The aforementioned Honda Sensing ADAS suite includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS), Auto High Beam (AHB) and newly added Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN) feature, which also features on the 2022 Honda Civic FE.

As for Malaysia, sighting delays due to the recent lockdowns – Honda Malaysia has had to delay several new model introductions, which may include the Honda Civic FE, Honda HR-V and BR-V as well.
