Porsche has announced the latest addition to the 911 family. The Porsche 911 GTS has always bridged the gap between the track-focused GT models and the road-biased regular Carrera S ones. Therefore, the 992-generation 911 GTS will slot into the same hierarchy within the model line up. 

Interestingly, GTS models are now available in both two- or all-wheel drive, and in coupe, convertible and Targa body styles.

Powering the Porsche 911 GTS line up is uprated version of the standard Carrera S’s 3-litre, twin-turbo, flat-six engine (480 PS, 570 Nm). Transmission? You can choose between a eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) or a seven-speed manual. With all-wheel drive and PDK, 0-100 km/h is dusted in 3.3 seconds.

Chassis tuning bespoke to GTS models are standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive dampers - derived from the 911 Turbo - , with a 10mm drop in ride height for Coupe and Cabriolet models. The 911 Targa GTS variants run a PASM system adapted from the regular 911 Targa 4S. The brake system is also derived from the 911 Turbo. 

For the first time on a GTS model, an optional Lightweight Design package will be offered. Through the usage of lighter carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) bucket seats, thinner glass, lighter battery, and a rear seat delete, a total of 25kg is trimmed. 

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also standard features, alongside a new-generation of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment interface.
