A while ago we posted spyshots of the upcoming 2021 Nissan X-Trail, showing off its new muscular silhouette and LED headlight and taillight design despite the heavily camouflaged body.

Fortunately, the latest patent submission by Nissan to the Brazil Patent Office has been leaked out today according to formacar.com, revealing the exterior and dashboard design.

Overall, the images show a clearer look at the design and proportion seen on the spy shots, confirming the new quad headlight setup, front ‘V-motion’ bumper, and grille, along with a redesigned dashboard.

The only thing that remains a guess is the engine options. There is a possibility of a hybrid variants, in line with the Nissan's e-Power movement similar to the Nissan Kicks e-Power, seeing as the current trend of manufacturer offering one beside the conventional petrol version.

Expect the next-generation Mitsubishi Outlander to come with similar powertrain and tech, as it shares primary architecture with the X-Trail.
