The Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered was presented at a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019. The super sedan is rumoured to be powered by a 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid aided by two motors to have a combined output of 405 PS.

Other official numbers include the car’s CO2 emissions rated at 49 g/km thanks to its hybrid motors and the 508’s ability to make the century sprint in 4.3 seconds. Impressive since it has been a while Peugeot has decided to release any sporty sedan or hatches.

Peugeot has actually given the green light to put the 508 Sport Engineered into production and has even released a few teaser photos inside a garage and a video to generate hype. But now they have released outdoor photos of the car moving.

Looks wise, the 508 Sport Engineered looks very similar to the concept that was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show with its carbon fibre surrounded radiator grille and aerodynamic inlets.

But Peugeot Sport has added carbon fibre wing mirror caps, 19-inch 10 spoke wheels and an aggressive rear diffuser.

While there is no doubt that the release of the 508 Sport Engineered will be delayed due to the coronavirus, we will have to survive by allowing the images exhilarate us a little longer.
