Mercedes-Benz’s flagship sedan, the S-Class, will be moving forwards to a new generation soon and it has been seen testing under disguise. And now we’ve just come across spy shots of the upcoming W223 (V223 for long wheelbase variants) generation 2021 S-Class with minimal disguise.
From the front, it resembles the recently unveiled 2020 E-Class facelift albeit with slimmer head lamps. The grille appears to be enlarged, so BMW isn't the only one enlarging front grilles. The tail lamps on the other end, bear a resemblance to the CLS.

On the inside, the air vents are no longer circular like in the previous generation. Instead, it’s rectangular shaped, which is similar to the ones found in the GLS. The infotainment screen is in a portrait orientation like in the W206 C-Class, only much bigger.
The steering wheel looks almost identical to the one in the 2020 E-Class facelift and there’s a rather large horizontal instrument display. Also, there’s a cutout or a binnacle behind the digital instrument display that could host new features and technology. Perhaps an advanced head-up display. Although it’s purely speculative at the moment.
Buttons throughout the cabin appears to be minimized as well. Likely with touch sensitive or capacitive buttons for most of the controls.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is reported to arrive some time this year but amid the current situation, a 2021 debut is more likely.
The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
