Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) no longer sells any Volkswagen Passat 1.8 TSI. All remaining units have been snapped up and the dealers now only carry the more powerful 2.0 TSI variant.

This is most likely due to the fact that Volkswagen Malaysia is gearing up for the introduction of the updated Passat, which made it global debut earlier this year.

Yes, we are confident that the new model will be much better than the current model, but expect prices to be a lot higher than the current model. The increase in price can be attributed to our weaking Ringgit, as well as the government winding down on Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV) incentives. 

The current Passat 2.0 TSI is priced at RM 196,412, which itself is really good value for money, as the Passat 2.0 TSI packs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that does 220 PS and 350 Nm. It's a favourite in our 200 PS for under RM 200k list.
