Porsche delivered 301,915 cars in 2021, up 11 percent from 2020. The figure is Porsche’s highest ever annual sales record, breaking the pre-pandemic era 2019’s record of 280,000 cars.

Never before in the company's 73-year history (since 1948) has more people bought a Porsche. If there was an economic slowdown last year, Porsche's customers never felt it.

“Despite the challenges posed by the semi-conductor shortage and the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic we have been working hard to enable more customers than ever before to fulfil their dream of owning a Porsche," says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.

“Demand remains high and our order books are looking very robust, so we start 2022 full of momentum and confidence in all regions of the world,” he added.

Although the iconic Porsche 911 is central to Stuttgart brand’s identity, it is the regular SUVs that are minting money for Porsche, accounting for 56 percent of Porsche’s total sales.
