Unlike its Japanese counterpart, the China market Jazz (sold in China as the Fit) has a proper front grille, while the Japanese Jazz gets a more flat-looking, one-piece front-end. In fact, the front bumper design for both models are different.
Buyers in China also have the option which is the Jazz Crosstar – an SUV-esque version of the Jazz that gets a different front- and rear-end, fender molding, unique wheels, and roof rails.
The difference continues under the hood as the China-market Honda Jazz will be powered by a 1.5-litre L15BU four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 130 PS and 155 Nm, mated to a CVT-type automatic transmission.
As for the Japan-market Honda Jazz,, that model can be had with a 1.3-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid. No word on whether the hybrid will be offered in China.
Guangqi Honda (GAC Honda) has already opened bookings for the all-new Jazz, and the new model will be arriving in Chinese showroom from August onwards.
