The all-new 2021 Peugeot 308 has been officially revealed. The new French hatchback can be seen sporting the company’s new logo.
The front fascia takes on a similar design language used in the Peugeot 508, with its fang-like LEDs that extend from the headlamps. And the abovementioned new logo can be seen on the grille.

Over to the rear, it sports a more aggressive outlook with a sculptured profile and sweeping taillamps. The new Peugeot 308 has a lower drag coefficient than before, at 0.28 Cd.
The 2021 Peugeot 308 has a larger footprint than before, measuring 4,367 mm long (+114 mm), 1,852 mm wide (+48 mm), 1,444 mm tall (-13 mm), with a 2,675 mm wheelbase (+55 mm)
Inside, it looks sharper than before and again, similar to the Peugeot 508’s edgy theme. There's a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and below it, there's a wireless charging tray with 2 USB C sockets.
The 2021 Peugeot 308 sits on the EMP2 platform that is shared with various Citroen models. Petrol-engine-only variant is a 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum output of 130 PS/230 Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Plug-in hybrid variants are powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with 2 states of tune - 150 PS and 180 PS, paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both feature a 12.4 kWh battery with a maximum EV range of up to 60 km on a WLTP cycle.
The 2021 Peugeot 308 can be optioned with a host of advanced driver-assistance features including:
- Adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function
- Automatic emergency braking (detects pedestrians and cyclists, day and night, from 7 km/h up to 140 km/h depending on version) with collision warning
- Active warning of unintentional line (or roadside) crossing with course correction
- Driver Attention Alert, to detect driver alertness over long driving times and at speeds above 65 km/h by analysing the steering wheel micro-movements
- Automatic high beam switching
- Extended recognition of traffic signs
