Singapore will be the next market for the all-new 2022 Honda Civic (FE), with its virtual launch in the island state scheduled to take place on 8.30 pm this Thursday, 12-August 2021.
They'll be the second country to launch it in the ASEAN region, just under a week behind Thailand, which introduced the 11th-generation Civic last Friday.
We know that the all-new Civic will be pricier than its predecessor. Early bird prices start from SGD 118,999 (Certificate of Entitlement, COE inclusive), which is SGD 11,000 dearer than the range-topping Civic FC currently sold there.
However, a part of that increment probably owes to the bump in COE rates too.
Other than that, the new Civic is said to be powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC turbo mill that makes 131 PS. It's a lower output than the outgoing model (the Civic FC's 1.5-litre turbo made 170 PS), but Singaporean-spec cars traditionally make less power for the benefit of lower carbon taxes.
