The all-new sixth-generation Honda CR-V will be making its Southeast Asian debut in Thailand some time this month at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show but the popular SUV is also making its presence known around its neighbours.
Aside from being spied on Malaysian and Thai roads, the all-new CR-V is also being speculated about in official Indonesian documents. Cited by various Indonesian media including our colleagues over at AutoFun ID, two mysterious codes were found in a document uploaded in the archipelago’s tax office website.
Listed on its latest Motor Vehicle Sales Value (Nilai Jual Kenderaan Bermotor, NJKB) document were two models, RS38 T CVT and RS58 RS CVT ZZ. Both these strange-named models were listed to be priced at IDR 453 million (~RM 132k) and IDR 500 million (~RM 146k) respectively.
Still, there are some clues that point these two mysterious models to the all-new CR-V as both were listed on the same page as the outgoing fifth-gen CR-V. Besides, the prices for coded models are also close to the CR-V’s prices.
Based on these codes, it’s likely that the Indonesian-spec of the all-new CR-V could be similar to its Thai equivalent. In Thailand, the all-new CR-V will be available with two engines – a turbocharged 1.5-litre VTEC petrol engine (190 PS/242 Nm) and a 2.0-litre e:HEV petrol hybrid (combined 204 PS/371 Nm).
Still though, the NJKB prices aren’t the final listing prices for a vehicle. For instance, the current CR-V is priced in Indonesia from IDR 525.3 million to IDR 684.6 million (~RM 153k-200k). AutoFun ID speculates that for the all-new CR-V could touch above IDR 700 million (~RM 204k).
