BMW Malaysia has introduced the all-new G82 BMW M4 Competition, with an optional Innovation Package. The BMW M4 Competition is priced at an estimated RM 684,800 (OTR without insurance) while the Innovation Package adds RM 76k, adding up to a total of RM 760,800.

However, BMW Malaysia is currently (from now until 31st December 2020) offering the Innovation Package at RM 56,000, bringing the price down to RM 740,800. 

The G82 BMW M4 Competition is powered by the S58 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine that makes 510 PS and 650 Nm of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. M Sport Differential is fitted, so it’s ready to drift on demand.

0-100 km/h is claimed to be accomplished in 3.9 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

As for handling, the BMW M4’s body rigidity is enhanced by bracing elements for the engine compartment, a front axle subframe with aluminium shear panel, underfloor bracing elements and a rear axle subframe with a rigid connection to the body.

There’s Adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers and M Servotronic steering with variable ratio.

Wheels are 19-inch items at the front, wrapped with tyres measuring 275/35 while the rear wheels are 20-inch in size with 285/30 rubbers.

The Innovation Package adds Connected Package, Head-up Display, Laserlight, Driving Assistant, wireless charging, Harman Kardon sound system, Parking Assistant, and tyre pressure indicator.

The Driving Assistant package bundles Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning and Front Collision Warning with Brake Intervention (AEB), Crossing Traffic Warning (rear) and Rear Collision Prevention.

The G82 BMW M4 Competition is available for pre-booking on the BMW Shop Online platform from now until 31st December 2020 at RM5,000 each.
