The E-3008 is said to be unveiled first, followed by the E-5008. The E-3008 will be the first model that sits on the new STLA Medium platform. The STLA Medium is one of the four future Stellantis Group "BEV-by-design" platforms, but it is also able to accommodate internal combustion engines.

All-electric range for the E-3008 is claimed to be up to 700 km, with battery packs between 87 kWh to 104 kWh. Three electric powertrains will be offered including a dual-motor configuration. Details for the E-5008 were not mentioned.
Peugeot said that the company is introducing new hybrid technology with mild-hybrid (MHEV) 48V, which will have a strong roll out in this year with 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008 and 408.

The Peugeot Hybrid 48V system consists of a new-generation 100 PS or 136 PS PureTech petrol engine, coupled to a 6-speed electrified dual-clutch gearbox (E-DCS6) which incorporates a 21 kW electric motor.
With the MHEV system, Peugeot claims a 15 percent reduction in fuel consumption. Unusually for a mild-hybrid, it allows full-electric mode in urban use albeit for short distances up to 1 km.

The company said that in urban driving, a C-segment SUV (referring to the 3008 and 5008) equipped with the MHEV system can operate more than 50 percent of the time in zero-emission electric mode.
Peugeot also said that every model in its line-up will be electrified in 2023 as part of the plan to sell BEV-only models by 2030. Currently, the BEV line-up includes E-208, E-2008, and E-308, with the E-408 slated to debut later this year.
