Apparently it's Waze's fault yet again for this small mishap

Over the week, videos of first a Toyota Vios and then a Perodua Bezza driving along the motorcycle lanes off Federal Highway leading to Klang from Kuala Lumpur has gone viral. Now the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has caught up with both drivers and discovered that they were only following Waze!
Remember back when we reported about the reason a Volvo XC90 driver found himself on the motorcycle lane 2 months ago? According to the driver, he was only following Waze and the navigation had led him to the motorcycle lane because his vehicle setting was set to “Motorcycle”.
According to Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, the police had been on the hunt for both drivers since the videos went viral and successfully tracked them down days after the incident.
Upon investigation, both the Toyota Vios male driver, aged 33, and the Perodua Bezza female driver, also the same age, claimed that they were just following Waze.
“Both drivers only realised that they had entered the motorcycle lane after they were alerted by other motorcyclists,” Nik Ezanee said in a statement.
He also said that both drivers are now under investigation for violating Section 79 of the Road Transport Act 1988 for neglecting traffic directions and signs.

PDRM has also arrested the Toyota Vios driver for driving against the flow of traffic and causing a motorcyclist to swerve and hit a pillar at the side of the road during the incident.
Gentlemen and ladies reading this, we strongly advice to please check your Waze apps now to make sure that you have selected the right vehicle mode! Do not end up cruising along the motorcycle lane and causing inconvenience, or worse, harm to motorcyclists.
