Autobots, roll out! This is how Japan's undercover police cars drop their disguises

They look just like any normal car on the road, but with a flip of a switch, they turn into police cars to chase down baddies.
These cars are known as unmarked police cars. They are used to keep an eagle eye in the streets of Japan on any wrongdoings that official police cars missed.
Another reason why Japan uses unmarked patrol cars is because the standard police cars are just too easy to spot and it is human nature to start looking innocent to prevent yourself from getting into trouble.
The Toyota Crown sedan is one of the more common models used as unmarked police cars in Japan. Check out how the Crown flips from standard to officer at work below.
When it is time to drop the disguise, a hatch would open on the roof of the car and a flasher would pop into place. Meanwhile, lights on the front grille would start flashing to make it easier to identify the police car from the front.
