Balik kampung travellers take note that no highway R&R facilities are open, only toilets

Though the government will soon open state borders to allow interstate travel starting 7 May 2020, highway Rest and Relax, or R&R, facilities and services will still remain close for business.
In a new infographic uploaded on the Malaysian National Security Council’s Facebook page, the council made it clear that the only facility open at R&Rs are the public toilets. Other facilities and services such as restaurants, kiosks and surau will remain close.
The council also issued reminders to travellers to remain in their cars at all times except when walking to and from toilets when taking a break from at the R&R parking lots. Travellers are also reminded that gatherings are still not allowed and to refrain from gathering in large numbers at the R&R.
Despite lifting the curfew for CMCO, petrol stations on all highways will only operate from 6 am to 12 am. So, be sure to plan your journey if your travels stretch pass midnight.

Parking lots are for resting; remain in cars at all time unless using the toilets
