Bentley designer confirmed to be on board Geely, will new designs translate to Proton?

Geely has confirmed prior reports of the change in heads of design at Geely and Lotus. Stefan Sielaff has been appointed Vice President of Global Design at Geely Auto Group. Stefan succeeds Peter Horbury, who joins Group Lotus as Senior Vice President of Design.

Stefan has previously worked at design studios at Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen Group. In 2015, Stefan became the Director of Design for Bentley Motors.

At Geely Auto Group, Stefan will oversee the portfolio of brands including Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Geometry and support the development of premium EV brand, Zeekr.

His predecessor, Peter Horbury, made considerable contributions to Geely Auto Group’s development. Peter joined Geely Auto Group in 2011 as Executive Vice President of Design where he created the Geely 3.0 era of products, one of which we’re able to see here in Malaysia – the Proton X70 that is based on the Geely Boyue.
