Berjaya Auto Alliance announces new management team for Peugeot

Berjaya Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd (BAASB), the new distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia has announced a new management team to lead the joint venture between Berjaya Corporation and Bermaz Auto.
BAASB, which is also the authorized after-sales service provider for Citroen and DS vehicles, will be headed current Bermaz Motor’s Director Dato Wong Kin Foo, who will take up the position of Managing Director at BAASB.
Bermaz Motor is a subsidiary of Bermaz Auto, and is the distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia.
Wong will report to the board of BAASB, which consists of representatives from both Berjaya Corporation Berhad and Bermaz Auto Berhad. The board consists of Dato’ Sri Robin Tan Yeong Ching, CEO of Berjaya Corporation and Dato’ Sri Ben Yeoh, Executive Chairman of Bermaz Auto, as well as Dato Francis Lee, CEO of Bermaz Auto.
For now, BAASB will temporarily operate out of Bermaz Auto’s head office in Glenmarie, where the lower two floors currently house the Mazda Glenmarie 3S centre. Expansions have been planned for the near future.
Wong, an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (United Kingdom), and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, had been with Cycle and Carriage Bintang for 20 years before joining Bermaz Motor.
He will be assisted by Head of After-Sales Mr. Michael Moh, Head of Sales Mr. Michael Chen, and Head of Marketing Mr. Ian Khong.
