The new 2020 Lexus IS has leaked onto the internet ahead of its official debut on 16-June.

According to the source, the new 2020 Lexus IS gains a marginally larger signature spindle grille than its predecessor, surrounded by a pair of sharper-looking headlights. Unlike the predecessor model, the new IS’ LED daytime running lights are now integrated into the headlights.

As for the sides, the new IS gains a more prominent character line that swoops upwards from the front doors to the rear wheel arch.

Moving to the rear of the new IS, it gets full-width tail lights, replacing the individual units on the predecessor model. It also gets a large rear diffuser piece with twin muffler tips at both ends.

Moving to the interior and the old IS' roots start to show itself - much of the interior is carried over from the outgoing model, including the dashboard and centre console. The only upgrade we spotted is the larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support.

Yes, from the looks of the interior, the new Lexus IS is based on the same Toyota New N Platform like the outgoing model - no TNGA here, sorry.

It remains to be seen what powertrains will Lexus fit to the new IS, but this particular IS 350 is said to be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine.
