As a car person, the worst situation we can find our cars in when we return from a holiday is to find the car vandalised or stolen. This Mercedes-AMG GT owner did not have his car stolen but he did return from his 5-day holiday to find his beloved supercar almost completely dismantled.
Jay Tranter left his Mercedes-AMG GT in a guarded car park located not far from the Birmingham airport before he left for his 5-day holiday with his girlfriend. The 36-year-old came back from his short holiday to find his £ 65,000 supercar completely unrecognisable.

During his 5-day trip, car cannibals have laid siege on the GT and stolen everything they could remove. The bonnet, head and taillights, the boot lid, and even major engine parts were gone. Even his number plates were stolen in the process!
And that’s not all, according to the car’s onboard tracking system, the cannibals have even taken the GT to a gravel track not far away for a joyride soon after Tranter handed over the car keys.
Unfortunately for Tranter, claiming insurance to cover the damages might be difficult as he had left his car keys with the meet-and-greet car park company.
Tranter had initially picked that particular car park because he thought it would be a safe parking lot. This is because Car Parking Birmingham Airport boasts high-quality service and safety, referencing the fact that the compound is fenced and guarded 24/7.
The worst part of it all, the car park’s new manager, Amji Khan, could not offer much help other than cooperating with police and providing the surveillance footage of the car park as he was only promoted to the manager seat after the incident. Khan did extend his apologies to Tranter.
“I feel cursed. This is the third vehicle I’ve had an issue with”, a very upset Tranter told Birmingham Live. “I’m not sure I want the car back as it’s tainted and the electrics could be damaged.
