Case of a stolen Honda Civic police car might turn into a kidnapping investigation

Previously, we reported that 3 suspects were able to successfully steal a Honda Civic 1.8S police patrol vehicle (MPV) from the Seberang Perai Utara district HQ. Now Sinar Harian has reported more details that not only are all 3 suspects tested positive for drugs but it might also turn into a kidnapping case.
As you know, on Saturday 2 brothers, aged 28 and 32, posed as policemen from the information technology resources unit to gain access to the Civic MPV under the pretext of inspecting the dashcam. According to a source, one brother even managed to get his hands on the car key during that time.
The MPV was recovered in Shah Alam, 370 km away from where the car was first stolen, and police promptly arrested the main suspect, the elder brother, and a woman in her 20s believed to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, the younger brother was also arrested.
Other than confirming that all 3 suspects were tested positive for drugs, Head of the Seberang Perai Utara unit, Assistant Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor also said that they will be looking into allegations made by the woman that she was kidnapped by the main suspect.
Allegely the MPV that was stolen
Noorzainy told reporters that the woman in her 20s have accused the main suspect, the elder brother, posing as a policeman at her work place, a shop in Tasek Gelugor, and forcing her to follow him into the car.
A full investigation has been launched regarding the allegations and a full report will soon be announced.
Meanwhile, the suspects are under investigation according to Section 379A for theft of motor vehicle and Section 170 of the Penal Code for impersonating a policeman. The suspects will be charged on Wednesday following the end of all investigations.
