BMW Malaysia has unveiled its flagship 2023 (G70) BMW 7 Series lineup - the BMW 750e xDrive Pure Excellence and 750e xDrive M Sport.

As before, the model is locally assembled (CKD) at Kulim. The new generation 7 Series is priced as follows:

• 750e xDrive Pure Excellence: RM 649,800
• 750e xDrive M Sport: RM 700,000 (estimated)

For comparison, the previous generation 740Le xDrive M Sport retailed for RM 634k, marking a RM 16k price increase over the outgoing model.

Given the 'e' in its name, both variants are plug-in hybrids (PHEV).

As before, the G70 generation 7 Series is powered by an electrified (B58) 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six-cylinder. It now makes 489 PS and 700Nm of torque. The electric motor receives energy from a 22.1 kWh battery.

Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Claimed numbers include a top speed of 250 km/h and a century sprint (0-100 km/h) in just 4.8 seconds.

On the inside, the G70 7 Series features the BMW Curved Display, which includes a 12.3-inch Infotainment Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display.

In the M Sport variant, the interior is refined with the M signature high gloss fine-wood trim, whilst fine-wood trim oak trim with grey metallic highlights features in the Pure Excellence variant.

Other highlight features include the Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof which grants a clear view of the sky through a laminated glass structure that is UV-protected.

Additionally, the New BMW 750e xDrive M Sport offers the 31.3-inch (8K) panoramic BMW Theatre Screen for rear seat passengers; paired with the integrated Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system.

In terms of safety, the range-topping BMW 750e xDrive M Sport features Driving Assistant Plus, while the New BMW 750e xDrive Pure Excellence receives the Driving Assistant Professional suite.

Other standard features include the Parking Assistant Plus, the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Head-up Display (HUD), and four-zone automatic air conditioning.
