The all-new 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is here in Malaysia and among the host of improvements and updates it brought along is the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner.
Yes, the new C-Class offers a fingerprint scanner located beneath the infotainment display. It allows the car to load the appropriate profile and personal settings saved in the system, depending on driver.
window.googletag = window.googletag || {cmd: []}; googletag.cmd = googletag.cmd || []; googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.defineSlot('/22557728108/my_article_fourthp_under_pc', [

], 'div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0').addService(googletag.pubads()); googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest(); googletag.pubads().collapseEmptyDivs(); googletag.enableServices(); });
googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });
User profiles can include personalized settings for the seat, ambient lighting, outside mirror position, window blinds, and air-conditioning settings. Depending on vehicle specifications and equipment, user profiles can also be extended to include:
- Driver's seat, steering wheel and mirror settings
- Radio (including station list)
- Navigation suggestions and favourites
The fingerprint scanner is also said to protect data such as favourites, most recent destinations, behaviour-based predictions, business calendar entries, and emails.
Compared to a traditional PIN code, using a fingerprint is more secure and convenient.
