The Toyota C-HR may only be a memory for us Malaysians, but it's still kicking about in Thailand. It's been updated too, coming with spunkier colour options and a few kit updates.

Most of the range has been culled too, leaving only one variant of the Thai-spec C-HR left, called the Hybrid Premium Safety.

Leading the updates is the set of new dual-tone colours, chiefly the brand-new Nebula Blue shade and its corresponding silver roof. The latter can also be paired to an Attitude Black Mica body.

The other option is a black roof, specifiable on either Premium Red, Platinum White Pearl, or Metal Stream Metallic body colours.

7 airbags for the passengers

Beyond that, the other big news sees all-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) added to the C-HR's Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS suite. This comes in addition to Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), also a new feature here.

Non-hybrid variants have been cut ever since the Toyota Corolla Cross made its debut, owing to Thai customers overwhelmingly preferring hybrid models, buoyed by lower taxes for low CO2 emitting vehicles.

Somehow, it's gotten cheaper

Despite the additional kit, the C-HR is THB 20,000 (~RM 2.6k) cheaper than last time, now coming with at THB 1,139,000 (~RM 149k). This price sees it being dearer than most variants of the Corolla Cross, except the range-topping Hybrid Premium Safety.
