Beyond that, the other big news sees all-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) added to the C-HR's Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS suite. This comes in addition to Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), also a new feature here.
Other than that, previous features like Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA) and Automatic High Beam (AHB) remain.
Hybrid power, TNGA chassis
Like it says on the tin, the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) based C-HR is hybrid-powered.
2021 Toyota C-HR Thai specs
Engine: 98 PS / 142 Nm
Electric motor: 72 PS / 163 Nm
Non-hybrid variants have been cut ever since the Toyota Corolla Cross made its debut, owing to Thai customers overwhelmingly preferring hybrid models, buoyed by lower taxes for low CO2 emitting vehicles.
Despite the additional kit, the C-HR is THB 20,000 (~RM 2.6k) cheaper than last time, now coming with at THB 1,139,000 (~RM 149k). This price sees it being dearer than most variants of the Corolla Cross, except the range-topping Hybrid Premium Safety.
