Following the announcement of its new brand logo, Kia today confirmed at an online media Q&A session with the international press that the first model to wear the new Kia logo will be an electric crossover, which is still currently under development with the codename CV.

The electric crossover was previewed in 2019 as the Imagine by Kia concept. The production version of the car will make its global debut within the first quarter of this year.

As for models sold in developing markets, the new logo will be applied to the Indian-market Kia Seltos later this year.

The Kia Seltos was recently launched in Malaysia and is imported from India, implying that the change will also be applied to our local market Seltos.

The Kia Seltos is a B-segment SUV that competes against the Honda HR-V. Two variants are offered, both powered by a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s priced from RM 115,888.    

Apart from the new logo, Kia will also adopt a new tagline, which is now ‘Movement that inspires,’ thus doing away with the previous ‘Power to Surprise’ tagline.
