Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), together with Tan Chong Ekspress Auto Servis (TCEAS) have announced that the Takata airbag inflator recall has been extended to another 3 more models.
After an investigation by Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, the company has included another 11,971 units of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia to the Takata airbag inflator recall.
According to ETCM, the Nissan NP300 Navara that was launched in November 2015, as well as other current selling Nissan models are not affected by the Takata airbag inflator recall.
As of June 2019, TCEAS has completed 99,670 or 56% of Takata airbag inflator replacements.
ETCM and TCEAS are urging Nissan owners to contact their nearest TCEAS outlet and set an appointment for the airbag inflator replacement.
