MINI Malaysia has launched the facelifted 2021 MINI Hatch 3 Door, MINI 5 Door, and MINI Convertible, in Cooper S form. This is the MINI’s second facelift exercise after the 2018's refresh.

It comes fully imported (CBU) from UK, and these are the prices (OTR without insurance, with SST discount and extended warranty/free service package), which have gone up across the board:

• MINI Cooper S 3 Door - RM 253,318 (+RM 12,541)
• MINI Cooper S 5 Door - RM 261,005 (+RM 10,499)
• MINI Cooper S Convertible - RM 274,360 (+RM 4,461)

The 2021 MINI 3 Door, MINI 5 Door and MINI Convertible have a new front design. The front grille now extends to bottom edge of the new front bumper that replaces the fog lights with the integration of air curtains for improved aerodynamics.

The side scuttle has been revised with LED indicators and over to the rear, the rear bumper has been redesigned to emphasis its width. There are also new alloy wheels.

Inside, the new models are equipped with a redesigned steering wheel that features horizontal spokes with a new look for the lower spoke, and buttons which are integrated on an even surface with a Piano Black finish. The air vents have been redesigned as well.

Infotainment display size has been increased from 6.5-inch to 8.8-inch, and supports Apple CarPlay. There’s a new 5-inch digital instrument cluster, 6-colour ambient lighting, and wireless charging. 

No changes on the mechanical front, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 192 PS/280 Nm, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

0-100 km/h sprint time is rated at 6.7 seconds and 6.8 seconds for the MINI 3 Door and 5 Door respectively. Meanwhile, the Convertible does it in 7.1 seconds.

All 3 models come with Driving Assistant as standard, which includes AEB, LDW, high-beam assistant and Parking Assistant.

The 2021 MINI 3 Door and MINI 5 Door come in White Silver, Island Blue, Chili Red, British Racing Green and Rooftop Grey, complete with Jet Black Roof and Black Bonnet Stripes. The MINI Convertible is available in Zesty Yellow, White Silver, Island Blue, Chili Red, and British Racing Green.

The facelifted MINI models are available at all authorised MINI dealerships nationwide from 2-June-2021. However, in accordance with the latest Movement Control Order, dealerships will be closed for physical viewing and customers are encouraged to view the MINI models online.
