The ‘biggest’ MINI in the stable gets spiced up with 2 new limited-edition variants in Malaysia! Known as the 2020 MINI Countryman Sports with Black Package is priced at RM 243,280 and limited to only 38 units, while the 2020 MINI Countryman Sports with Panoramic Sunroof is priced at RM 247,280, this variant is not a limited run model.
Essentially, the 2 new variants are a MINI Cooper S Countryman Pure underneath with cosmetic changes to give it a cooler and more sophisticated look. Instead of sleek chrome bits, the SUV’s details like the front grille, door handles, and even the MINI emblem are finished in Piano Black.
While the MINI Countryman Sports with Panoramic Sunroof will be available in various colours, the Countryman Sports with Black Package will come only in British Racing Green or Light White as you see on this page.
On the inside, the black theme continues with the Anthracite headliner and Sports Seats upholstered in Leather Cross Punch in Carbon Black. MINI has even added John Cooper Works Interior Surface in Piano Black to further emphasise the sophisticated look.
Like its Plug-in Hybrid and John Cooper Works Countryman counterparts, the Countryman Sports will come with 12 Harmon Kardon speakers and 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment with built-in navigation system.
Of course, the display - MINI knows it as MINI Visual Boost - also allows Apple CarPlay connectivity. There is even a wireless charging pad so passengers can keep your phone charged while staying connected.
Both variants also come with MINI Connected that offers a wide range of digital services such as Intelligent Emergency Call, MINI TeleServices, and Remote Services.
As mentioned, underneath the new skin, the Countryman Sports variants are essentially the MINI Cooper S Countryman Pure. So, both variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 192 PS and 280 Nm while mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Sports transmission.
Like all MINIs sold by MINI Malaysia, both the MINI Countryman Sports with Black Package and MINI Countryman Sports with Panoramic Sunroof variants will come complete with MINI 5-year Roadside Assistance. This covers everything from services like 24-hour, 365-days-a-year Accident and Help on the Phone and On the Spot Hotline, free towing services and more.
The MINI Countryman Sports with Black Package has an asking price of RM 243,280 while the MINI Countryman Sports with Panoramic Sunroof goes at RM 247,280. Both prices quoted are on the road without insurance and sans SST.

You can also opt for MINI’s Balloon Financing for both MINIs. The Countryman Sport with Black Package will start at RM 2,778 per month while the Countryman Sport with Panoramic Sunroof starts at RM 2,828 per month (based on estimates of 80 percent loan on a 5-year tenure).
