Ahead of the 2020 Proton X50’s launch tomorrow, Proton has been sharing a number of videos showcasing the upcoming B-segment SUV’s selling points.
The videos on Proton Cars’ Facebook page highlighted the X50’s performance, safety, comfort, and connectivity – all of which can be viewed below.
Set to be launched via livestream on Proton Cars’ Facebook page, Proton has claimed that they have received more than 20,000 bookings for its highly-anticipated model.
To recap, the Proton X50 is a B-segment SUV that gets two powertrain options, both of which are turbocharged 1.5-litre units. The first is a multipoint fuel injection unit that does 150 PS and 226 Nm, while the second is a direct fuel injection unit that is good for 177 PS and 255 Nm. Both engines are hooked up to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic that sends drive to the front wheels.
It also features a number of segment-first features, such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC, basically Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Keeping Assist) and Auto Park Assist (APA) – both of which aren’t available on the larger Proton X70.
