The debut of the all-electric BMW i3 Sedan has given us a first-look of the 2022 G20 BMW 3 Series facelift (LCI).

Like what we’ve seen from the spyshots nearly a year ago, there a redesigned front bumper and revised headlamps that does without the notch. The headlight graphics appear to be inverted as the L-shaped DRLs goes to the top of the headlamps.

The front grille appears to be of the same size as before, but expect a different styling from this closed-off grille in the i3 Sedan. We can also expect the M Sport variant to wear a more aggressive set of bumpers.

BMW said that the BMW OS8 operating system (first seen in the BMW iX and subsequently i4) and new digital features and services will be making their debuts in the G20 2022 BMW 3 Series LCI.

The current range of powertrain options (electrified ones as well) are expected to be carried over, with the 1.5-litre, 2.0-litre, and 3.0-litre engines mated to an 8-speed automatic.

Beyond that, we’ll have to wait for official announcement of the G20 2022 BMW 3 Series LCI for further details – watch this space.
